A South Korean company has designed a pair of Neckphones for Gamers that will enhance their vision and feeling of games.
The Neckphones rest on your shoulders and have little speakers in them, so instead of having the uncomfortable feel of plugs in your ears you now have a just a small u-shaped wire up your back.
At around £70 the Neckphones seem quite expensive, that is until you realise how much money you are saving. The Neckphones are meant to have the same effect as surround sound meaning you don’t have to place big, bulky speakers all around the room.
All sounds good so far...
It gets better...
The device also has a small “vibration generator” that sends quivers through your body, much like the Playstation Analogue controller does with your hands.
These products are designed primarily for PC users, but if they are successful in Japan and the USA (where they are currently being launched) then I can definitely see them heading the way of the game consoles.
I think that this contraption will take gaming to the next level... Do you?
You can get a cheap surround sound system for £30 nowadays
The keyword there is cheap..... I would be suprised if a surround sound system worth £30 actually gave out any sound!
You also said you could get the analogue controller for £30, well if you add that to the speakers thats £60....and I would rather spend the extra £10 have have decent sound, and vibrations going round your body...not just your hand...
Well thats my opinion anyway.......
I think that this

No. Why would you want to have a small pair of speakers balanced on your shoulders and a wire going up your back when you've already got a 5-speaker surround sound system installed for your PC?
You can get a cheap surround sound system for £30 nowadays, and rumble paks for PC games are already out there for less than £30 which just sit behind you on your chair and give you a nudge at the appropriate moment.
Same goes for consoles, so personally I will not be investing money into this company.
It'd be ideal for people with not much room in their room, if you see what I mean...
