"Gamecube advice"

I've been tempted to buy a Gamecube on Ebay as they're so cheap, but am a little unsure as to how much use I'd get out of it. I have an Xbox and a Dreamcast already, so I'd only want to get a Gamecube if the Gamecube-exclusive games were really worth it.

So, which games would be worth getting that are not already on one of the above consoles, and are there more good ones coming out in the future?

I've looked at some Gamecube-related sites but they all seem to be very biased so I just end up closing my browser. I don't want fanboy advice - I want honest, impartial advice. Some might ask what I'm doing in a Nintendo forum asking for impartial advice, but of course you guys will know more about what I'm asking than anyone else. So, I want to know which *games* will make the purchase a good decision.

Any (non-biased) help would be appreciated!

I'm a bit less fussed about gaming these days, so my list might be more.. neutral?
Of course, it'll be tainted by bias for my preferred genres.


Exclusives out now that you have to own:

Eternal Darkness
Skies of Arcadia (not sure how different to the dreamcast version it is though.. maybe you don't need it...)
Pikmin
Mario Sunshine
a Super Monkey Ball (either, probably 2)

Harvest Moon (if you like that sort of thing)

Mario Golf (if it does have analogue swing - I thought I heard they've put it in now, but I didn't check. If it turns out to be push-button swing control I won't bother)



I've left stuff out, probably controversially, such as:

MP 2 (when it arrives)

Viewtiful Joe
Mario Tennis
..because the list is based on my opinions, and in my opinion those games aren't anything special. You may want to look at them to decide for yourself though.

Oh, and by the way, whilst it may be worth buying the actually console unit off of eBay, as it is remarkably cheaper, the actual games are worth getting off here to be honest. The difference between prices is nothing, it is a lot more hassle-free to order from SR, and if you were to compare the price of the latest releases you'd probably find it cheaper to order from SR. Anyway, good luck on getting a bargain.

Also there are a lot of the Star Wars games, if thats your thing.

Then there is also games like Resident Evil 4, Metroid Prime 2, The new Zelda, Starfox 2, Killer 7, Second Sight, Four Swords, Mario Tennis, Donkey Konga, Pikmin 2, Mario 128, Geist, Cube Wars, Viewiful Joe 2, Paper Mario 2 and more just around the corner, that are expected to be released by the end of the year.
