That's basically the Gamecube! Unpredictable, it is right to buy and I hope you have the time of your life. What has prompted me to right this topic?
Well I have begun my Gamecube saving, I don't get too much cash but I intend the release of the Gamecube to be my biggest spending day of my life so far! £400 I intend to save up for something like 5 games a couple of controller's a memory card etc…
So then I try to imagine being a Sony fan on that release day, hmmm £400 could get me the console and 2 games! Still great but not quite the same, if I didn't already I could get a GC, a GC game and a GBA for the same price of the PS2!
And why does the PS2 cost so much? Well the extras of course! DVD, music it is a true multimedia system and is the right price.
Or so we have been fooled to think.
The Microsoft X-box will retail at the same as the PS2 did on its launch. It has much, much, much better specs (than them all). It, like the PS2 has DVD playing abilities. It can play CD's and store 8 tracks on its in built memory and you can listen to them whilst playing.
It has Internet straight out of the box! But the PS2 doesn't? So why do Sony charge so much? Because they can get away with it! Nintendo say they are charging low, but I bet if you add it all up they are making just as much of a killing as Sony is.
Is it right to let ourselves get tricked? Should we wait until the price drops?
I'll leave it up to you.

We might be able to put ourselves in an 8-month coma!
So if we boycott the GameCube and X-box in the UK, we may be able to make them easily affordable to everyone.....
or Microsoft and Nintendo might decide to stop distributing to the UK....
