Ive got a little idea that I think would work great on the SR site.

When you click on the stats of a user it currently shows the users nickname, user type (regular, newbie etc) and how long ago they registered.
I think it would look cool if it had a picture of the user on it aswell, about the same size has the little advert that appears on the pop up.

When you register you have the option of entering a taglinE, name, address etc.
All that would be needed is a field that lets you browse your computer and upload your decided picture.
The pictures could be real life photos or just a cartoon of yourself, but whatever it is, it must be of yourself.

I think this would make the forums a little more personal, because you could see a picture of the person you are talking to.

Anyway, your views would be appreciated.

If SR do try out this idea, it would really sssslllloooowwww the loading of the page.

Number 1..........It would take up Loads of memory

Number 2..........YAAWN

I'm guessing from the amount of posts its getting people think my idea is crap! :(

Yeah that probably would be the best way to do it....but im just thinking that thats going to take time for SR to do and they probably havent got that time to spend.

Maybe......you could give the option to regulars and noteables only....this way its a privilage rather than something anyone can do.....this way there is less chance of people putting stupid stuff on.

And yes I know im only a newbie..but I would be willing to wait :)

As I said, sending it off to SR would be a better idea, because then they could dump all the 'rude' pictures and ban the culrit from the site for good!

hmmm..... its a shame you get people like that on the net :(

Maybe when you upload your photo, it is put on 24 hours after once SR have checked it. All it needs is a quick look at you could soon see if it was suitable or not.

If the picture isnt suitable SR can ban the user

And the idea, by the way, is very good.

I know - why don't we send a picture of ourselves to SR so they can do it! All we do is send whatever picture we want of ourselves to SR stating our name, adress, nick-name etc...

I doubt it will happen as there'd be some sad get who'd put some porn up or something.
