No offence to Dreamcast owners, myself included, but the Dreamcast isn't the machine for NiGHTS to be released on - it has to be a new, fresh start on a new console - Sonic Team have gotten to grips with the GCN, so if they were to do a sequel, it'd be on that - and that would persuade me to buy a Game Cube.
Yuji Naka is a brilliant games designer, and his Sonic Team won the award for best developer of the year in 2000 - however, I heard or read that they didn't want to do a NiGHTS 2 because it would make the original less important. I disagree - I think it would open people's eyes and show them what they could have been playing when they were up all night Tony Hawk 1'ing on their PlayStations.
NiGHTS is a fantastic game, a sequel would have to have the same 'hidden 3D' style of gameplay, and I am sure it'd be a massive hit.
