I post quite a bit of stuff in there, and was looking back over it. I thought that my posts seem to disappear sooner than any others.
Was I being paranoid?
Being a statistics freak I did a bit of counting.
Over the last couple of months my posts have had the last message posted in them,on average 1.69 days later.
The average for posts by others, however, is 3.8 days?
And the number of replies, on average my posts get 5.5 replies, others get an average of 10.7!
Was this just the in Nintendo forums, or was it the case in the other forums too?
Well I had a look in Chat.
My posts, on average, die the next day. The average for all other posts is 2.2 days.
On average I get 15.8 replies in Chat. Others get 30.7.
So I looked in Prime:
My posts lived here for 1.5 days, gaining an average of 21.7 replies.
Others last for 2.5 days, gaining an average of 34.1 replies?
Now can anyone think of any reason for this?
Are my posts that dull and uninspirational?
Why is it that I get more replies when asking what colour console people would prefer, than I do when I reveal details on a new Mario game?
I thought that the people round here thought that the appearance of the console mattered not, but it was games that mattered. Evidently not!

Yep! I may well get myself a 'Cube. But i wouldn't touch that black box of Sonys with a barge pole!
(Unless someone bought it for me of course....)
:-)
Well it was a complete work of fiction.
I made it all up, to see if I could provoke a response.
Nobody even questioned it, asked where the information came from or anything.
That surprised me.
Most people (not all) that use the Nintedo forum are happy to ignorantly say "Nintendo rules, Greystation sucks!" without knowing a thing about either. Happy to be spoonfed the games when Nintendo Official Magazine shows them to them, not looking at what other information might be out there.
I'm sure if I posted a fictitious game on the Sony forum people would question it.

Chances are, when you put something up about the next Mario or whatever, people agree with you so they don't bother replying with a "Yes Meka, we agree with you."
They just think to themselves, yeah it does look quite good, then go off and look for something they can argue about.
