A friend of mine has asked me:

"Do you know the password to enable the transfer of characters from the orginal Golden Sun or where to go to get it?"

Does anyone know the answer to that question?

or if you want to be told straight and simply all you do is have a completed save game on gs1, in the main menu hold l then hold R then hold left <--- and then press B and it should bring up the transfer data option which you can use either link cable (best option) or the long winded passcode option.

Right.... I bought the game whilst on hols in America, so the manual might be slightly different, but if I remember right it tells you how to unlock the passwords in the Golden Sun 2 manual, and you then do what it tells you to do in Golden Sun 1 and choose your save, then depending on the amount of info you want to transfer, you get a password between 20 digits and 4 pages long!

It's much easier to do it with two GBAs and a link cable... trust me!
