In a press release published on GamesPress, it seems that Burnout 3 is XBox and PS2 exclusive. Doesn't state it isn't going to be released for the Cube, but it does say "Burnout 3 is scheduled to ship this autumn on the PlayStation 2 console and the Xbox." So we'll either get it after the PS2 and XBox release, or not at all. Probably the latter.

Big lump of crap. Burnout rocks, I thought with the series moving over to EA we'd get it but it seems not.

Am I the only one who knew this news six months ago?

A ray of hope though: Burnout 2 came out late for Gamecube, so maybe it'll happen here. Probably not though. They might feel the Cube was given it's chance, and it didn't sell before so it won't now.

It is likely that EA are presented with a deal to sign the game but on the condition they do not produce the title for the Gamecube as the developer doesn't want to.

As for Euro 2004 it appears that EA believe there isn't a large enough fan base to sell both FIFA 2004 and Euro 2004... which they are right. And the former game will be superior... although I would have bought Euro 2004 if it was released for the Cube.

EA still plan to ship 19 games for the Gamecube this year.

It might come out for the gamecube later on - these things fairly often seem to only be announced for PS2 and Xbox at first, then creep out on the cube a few months later.

Also, it could have a seperate distribution setup for the cube, like SC2 did. I think that's fairly unlikely though, since the involvement of EA should standardise everything. But it's possible.

But the first explanation, I figure that's pretty likely. They don't want to muddle the announcement of the PS2 and Xbox release by squeezing in a footnote about a later cube version.

And because of that's it's going to be good? The first two would complete and utter balls, so why should the sequel be any different?
