I was going to go for the Pipex uncapped 512Kb service at £23.44 a month, with free equipment etc.

I just wanted to check that there aren't any better deals out there...

Over to you guys :D

That's probably the best you'll get, what with Pipex being so good and all.

I'm with BT, paying £27.99/month. I'm changing once the contract expires though.

Bulldog Broadband do one at £17.99 for 512kb but I don't know what their overall service is like.

I know a few people who use Pipex and they are fairly happy with the performance.

I'm on Nildrams 23.99 service and I've never had any problems with it. Will be renewing the contract in a couple of months when it runs out.

Well Wanadoo (used to be Freeserve) now do 512K Broadband for £17.99 a month, they're pretty good, that's what I got but I dunno if they're better than Pipex.

But your service is capped to 2Gb a month, they mention that the connection gets restricted afterwards until the end of the month. What they may by restricted is anyones guess, but it could mean a redunction in speed, as in Austrialia they shoved people back to 56K speeds once they reached there limit for the month.

Wanadoo also do 15Gb for £27.99. Basically Pipex wipes the floor with them, 15Gb is 3 days solid speed, which is pretty good, but over a month you could reach this limit.

Alexrose1uk I dont think you will find a better deal. Pipex are one of the best ISPs and also cheap, there are cheaper services now, but not by much and they often come with less features.

That service is capped to 2Gb a month. When searching for deals make sure that it is unlimited as alot of ISPs are offering low priced ADSL with monthly limits.

Cable would be a good choice with the speed increase but if you live in a non-cabled area your stuck with ADSL only. The bad thing with cable is its contended at a street level. So if everyone on your street had cable broadband then if alot of them were using it at the same time then you would notice a drop in speed.
