Whether anyone cares what i have to say i can't really be bothered but after recent posts boosting my annoyance meter i feel like having a little rant.

First off when did this place turn into a bloody Oprah show?

*oh do you like me?*

*yea i respect you alot i think you're really cool and want to have your children*

What the bloody hell does this sort of crap have to do with the playstation? When i come here i don't want to see this rubbish i want to see thought provoking discussions about the Playstation and it's games (ok i'll have to stop for a second i'm just about to burst out laughing at that)

Right i'm back, i've been noticing for the past few days that sort of stuff has picked up and accumulated in the little ego trip of Wakka's wanting to know who loves him and who doesn't with his fake little leaving post. There's enough bloody crap and spam in this forum, quite a bit of it from you actually, without you adding more to it with a dumb post like that. Like i said if you're going, go, don't waste time with a stupid post like that. Another worthless post coming from Cusack as well with his *is anyone awake* thread. What does that have to do with playstation? Just 2 examples of the wide spread spam that's taking over this forum.

Secondly what's with all these posts that are virtually carbon copies of each other? Do people not have the ability to read anymore? I could understand it if the topic was on page 8 or something but when it's only about halfway down the page and you post a topic with exactly the same message in it (for example the 'What is your top 10 most wanted games' followed by a few days later by 'what's on your wanted list' and the about 10 topics talking about FFX and FFX-2) then it's just taking up space and pushing the very few decent topics down the page.

Speaking of not being bothered to read before posting i've already had a go at this point before but that's the *I need help on* topics. Instead of posting these topics how about taking a little initiative and go search for it yourself? There are sections here called Hints, Cheats and Walkthroughs, where guess what? They give help on games, obviously it was sneakily hidden by SR with their names for their links, i mean who would think you'd get help for a game by going to the hints, cheats or walkthrough sections? And on the event you don't find what you're looking for there go to Gamefaqs.com the internet bible for the assistance of gamers. Seeing as virtually all the topics are asking for help on the mainstream releases you're pretty much guaranteed to find your answer on that site. So instead of putting up another bloomin *give me help* topic look it up for yourself.

I remember back in the old days when there was a vibrant community of PS2 gamers who all wanted to talk about the playstation and PS2 and yes of course there was spam but nowhere near as much as there is now and the forum was actually populated with intelligent topics back then. It was alot of fun to visit the forum then instead of now where you have to sift through the 10 crap topics usually unrelated to the playstation to get to the actually decent one that has cropped up but is halfway down the page underneath the *Do you love me* topics.

The rant i had back a week or so ago about the cheat topics didn't work and i doubt this will either but i just feel it needed to be said to get this forum back to anywhere near as decent as it was 6 months or a year back.

*Feels happy again*

I said this earlier in the PS Longest Thread about them just saying, 'hi' 'hello' 'good morning' etc. And no one responded, instead it just continued.

my self included, but then again, what the hell was the point when a forum ends up like this. i'm not going to sign up to one or 2 more forums, because i'm not sad and chatting online is just a pass-time. this may be the problem with others, that they see it as fun commenting on every single subject. surely it must get boring conveying a view on every subject, sometimes when you don't even have a view. this is when it as spam. look at the top of the 30 days posting list and forest fan's up there by a mile. that's not cool it's just sad. you shouldn't aspire to do that, seeing as people who post half as much have twice the respect.

wakka may defend himself and say that he actually was going to leave, but this is very unlikely. seing as he released a post, with a clause in, in the forum that holds the people that he already knows and likes. he did as much as you could to make sure that at no point did you have to leave. it's just cheap.

an improvement to the way you post can be taken from shadow, jive, sleepy an myself. instead of just saying "hi, XXXXX. how are you? see you later XXXXX." try saying something like "hi XXXXX. i've been doing such and such. like yesterday i went to there. oh yeah, my football team lost:("
that's far more likely to draw out a conversation.

i've had my own mini rant here, but the "sad" thing is that this used to be a good ps2 forum and at some point a year ago, people said they would leave. i didn't believe them as it was just one of those- people say some things -but it wasn't.

this will most likely affect next to no-one but just the fact i put it out here may mean that it atleast gets viewed by some of the "wrong" doers.

So you are spamming now, I do not understand... you say you aren't a spammer, now you say you are.

No, it isn't. I wasn't a spammer before, then I slagged off Snuggly so I left and came back and I spammed.
