My parents and my brother have just returned from a holiday in Portugal.
My brother bought me a present.
Oneof those plastic balls you see kids kicking about on the beach, that fly everywhere because they have no weight (or very little, to say they had none would be daft).
Anyway, this ball was special. It was a MarioKart64 ball. It had Mario and Donkey Kong on it, in their karts. It's cool.
A bit strange for game related merchandise though, isn't it?
In my time I've seen dozens of game related things, from keyrings to soft toys, from books to biscuits, but what's the strangest piece of gaming related merchandise you've ever seen?
"Hell iv'e even seen a kiddies potty!"
"Have YOU always wanted to crap on Mario's face?"

Warning: Using more than two colours per square will cause 'blockiness'
Hell iv'e even seen a kiddies potty!
Instructions:
Never, EVER, under any circumstances mix colours. This will confuse the general public.
I had a Super Mario alarm clock at one point though. It used to play the theme tune to... something. Over. And Over. And Over. And Over...
Got me up in the morning though, but it didn't last long.
Super Mario watercolouring set (oh the irony)
Barbie Race and Ride car vacuum cleaner
101 Dalmations dog coat
Tom and Jerry mousemat
Defender keyboard dust cover
Mickey Mouse Castle of Illusion moneybox
Donkey Kong lunch box set
Resident Evil Nemesis cuddly toy
Alone in the Dark pencil torch
Gran Turismo car cover (with a picture of a full-scale Dodge Viper RT/10 on it, so when you cover your Ford Fiesta with it, it resembles a slightly better car).
I love the sound those plastic footballs make wheyou kick them though, and the fact that you can put more swerve on them than Roberto Carlos on a good day.
