I've been spreading this around a few different forums as I think this is something that concerns every PS2 owner, and unless we do something about it it's going to mess up a lot of otherwise great releases.

I'm talking about non-optimised, bordered rubbish like Onimusha, and, more recently, the soon to be released Code Veronica X which also suffers from a decrease in speed and large borders.

GT3 doesn't have v.large borders but isn't as fast as it should be, as Sony haven't bothered to convert it to 60hz.

Think about it, do you really want to be playing a slowed down version of Devil May Cry with big borders?

oh come on guys petitions and stuff isnt go to make a jott of differance , just look at your argument, yes we all know its true but do you really think seriously sony gives a damn, not in the slightest, just like they give a damn about giving us games last and charge us the most and what do we do about that yes you guessed it sweet nothing.
we still buy the consoles and games , we always have done and always will do and nothing will ever change, so iam afraid you just have to put up with what you get.

sorry to sound off but i aggree with you 100% i have had many moans myself about such stuff, but it falls on deaf ears iam afriaid.
my complete and utter gripe that annoys me to hell is the fact we have to wait untill the last to get games,my argument about this is ,how hard is it to make agame with simultanious languages and formats so there al ready at the same time.

but hey anyway we can all get off our soapboxes now and go and play our late, slow, bordered substanded games, till we finish em and then , buy another one.

Mine is a 14 inch Sony TV that is probably about 5 years old. It satisfies both those conditions, but (as WM said) as it is nearer the bottom of the range in Sony TVs, it has no 60Hz option.

A lot of low-end TV's won't though, and what about the thousands... maybe millions... of people who haven't had the need to buy a new TV in the last 5 years?

I totally agree, they should include a 60hz feature even if just a handfull of TV's support it.

Sony are lying. Almost every single TV that is less than 5 years old supports this... including almost every Sony model

Even so, I think devlopers should include the option.

After all, not everyone has a brother, sister or other person to play Tekken with on a regular basis, but they always incluse a 2-player...

Sony say that it isn't their main priority to include a 60hz option because there are not enough TV's that support it.
