They can't know that, otherwise the EA games will look a lot better than they do. No-one has released the full power of it yet. Benchmark tests aren't good enough.

Turbo you do not stick to facts. You said that it is not a known fact that the GC ismore powerful than PS2. EA Canada have said that in initial benchmark tests they got th GC to run at 14 million PPS. PS2 was doing 10 million.
