Im ordering a Cube on Wednesday and will probably get it for the Weekend!

Are there any decent bundles I should check out before I go and buy it on SR?

I've got £150 to blow so what games should I get? (Not WW because I've already completed it at my mates house).

Harvest Moon 2 looks good, whats it about?

That is all.

I'd say that Metroid Prime single play beats Halo's single player, pure down to level design. Halo's more open sections were beautiful, but the insides areas were so repetitive that sometimes you didn't know whether you were backtracking! :-D

But then Halo has a multiplayer, which rules all! :-)

*Everything or Nothing

I played Metroid Prime a lot last March when it was released but I have little time for games and when the summer came Zelda eclipsed my life.

Now, a year later, I've re-started prime and am tearing through it and it is pure brilliance.

The thing is as an FPS it is pretty poor, one weapon (ignoring the morph ball bombs) that can be split into 4 different varities... one freezes, one electrafies, ones fires a nice little electric beam. The control system as an FPS is shocking, not easy to respond to and hard in major action scenes.

But then this is not a normal first person shooter. For starters the ability to turn into a ball invents a level of puzzles, the jumping is probably the best jumping in a first person game... the addiction and skill needed in destroying the various baddies are genius, The bosses are beautiful, the level design is superb...

In fact Metroid Prime is incredible, the control system suits it wonderfully... the suit powerups may seem limited as an FPS but are perfect for this platform, FPS, Adventure hybrid...

and I haven't even mentioned the ingenious of scanning and the skill of extra visors.

A superb game that I once slated and now soley appologise. Prime will be finished soon and Echoes cannot come soon enough.

Well done Retro, one of Nintendo's best teams.

In Halo or TS2?

I'm guessing TS2, as Halo doesn't have bots...

Pretty sure it's just "deathmatch".

What do you call that mode where you could play a deathmatch against the computer without playing 2 players?

Is it just called deathmatch?

Well, whatever it was called iwas so addicted to it.

Yeah, you can't forget it's great points.

Co-op certainly goes the distance towards overshadowing the level design shortcomings, and there are some excellent moments like in the final level. Even in multiplayer, with four people it can really be great fun - set up a team deathmatch on Blood Gulch with all weapons, and you can play for ages.

While it's easy to focus on the negative, it's definitely, for me, an 8 or 9/10 game. And that's that. Hell - I can't count the amount of Halo discussions there's been across these forums, and I'm sure Ali knows my opinion on TimeSplitters 2 quite well by now.

Take the first four words of your post, and you'll sum up my point;

"It was rated perfectly."

Edge gave it 10/10, and many others followed in such a trend. Nobody could find a fault with it - it was alledgedly the greatest FPS of all time and complete perfection.

I don't think I have to tell you how stupidly overated that is. We've all heard the criticisms over and over again - rubbish level design, etc, but the fact is that they're all bitingly true. Halo had some superbly rounded gameplay dynamics and tweaked the vehicle idea beautifully, but in my opinion certainly wasn't the greatest ever.
