If anyone hasn’t heard about this little beauty, The Expansion Memory Card made by EMS Production Limited, is a small device that goes into your memory card slot. Putting a PS2 memory card into the device compresses the memory card turning it from 8mb to 32mb!
Does anyone know anything about this- with the extortionate price of PS2 memory cards, it could be a bargain little piece of kit.
Release date, price, anyone?

Yes, I used one on the PS1. It took ages and buggered up the card. Good thing I backed it up then.

I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. Big memory cards are ALWAYS, ALWAYS bad news as I found out the hard way.

You can get a 16 meg or a 32 meg expansion pack. It uses an officail memory card to upgrade it to 16 or 32 meg. It uses decompression as stated before. There is also a smart media card available in 8/16/32 meg which can be used as a memory card and does a few extra things like editing saves for cheats and uploading and downloading from a PC.

Dunno- its supposed to be quite clever how it does it, but i would have thought there would be a downside to it.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
Easy and free service!
I think it's fab that you provide an easy-to-follow service, and even better that it's free...!
