If anyone hasn’t heard about this little beauty, The Expansion Memory Card made by EMS Production Limited, is a small device that goes into your memory card slot. Putting a PS2 memory card into the device compresses the memory card turning it from 8mb to 32mb!
Does anyone know anything about this- with the extortionate price of PS2 memory cards, it could be a bargain little piece of kit.
Release date, price, anyone?

The PC storage idea seems like a sound one.

Compression on memory cards proved to be fairly unreliable on PS1. Personally, I'd avoid any such peripheral as if it was the plague!

The access speed on the memory cards will be soooo much slower though.

I was just pointing out that the disks used have a capacity of 1.5 GB much smaller than a 4GB memory card which seems quite odd.

the Gamecube will have 64MB memory cards at launch from panasonic. But these memory cards are used by a wide range of products so i am not sure if the 4GB ones will be for GC.

It's static memory though so it would be unfeasible to run a game off it, as it would be very slow.

If it was 4GB it would be huge!

With 4GB memory cards they would be better putting the games on them. I don't think it will be 4GB thats more than some peoples hard drives in their PC's
