Only at the beggining, you see, that's the fun of it, bit by bit things started to feel mysterious, untill the ninja fight, this is what made feel that this game "is something", and from this point we had some of the best cutscene moments ever, do you rmember when meryl was shot ? And when sniper wolf died ? I never saw something saw touchy. And on top of all that, the ending, there was absolutely no character I have ever seen in my life in any thing that can match Grey Fox, do you remember the ending ? Try and top that.

I wouldn't say the storyline in MGS was anything special. It's just your basic 'terrorists trying to take over the world' routine.
Hence why it wouldn't get in my top 5 of PSX games
