I don't *only* mean waking up in the morning and faking a sickie - I mean the other reasons, too... like not being able to turn the game off at 10:00pm (or whenever), playing through until 3 or 4 in the morning, and then not being able to get up for school/work.
If you have 'gone AWOL'...
1. What game(s) made you do it?
2. How often have you done it?
3. Has it cost you anything? (i.e. been fired from work, bad grades at school etc.)
4. Do you/have you ever regretted it?
5. Do you still do it/would you do it again?
My answers:
1. GT1, GT2, all Resident Evil games, a couple of Tomb Raiders, and most recently, Moto GP.
2. One day for each of the above games, except RE2 which was 3 days!
3. Thankfully, it's cost me nothing except sleep so far.
4. I felt a bit guilty, but it soon passed.
5. Rarely... but GT3 is out soon, so...
> I did that with Sonic and Knuckles, GT1 and FFVII.
Must be the adrenalin.

Erm, lots.

I don't mean to pry, but is it really woth losing 3 jobs over a computer game?
By the way, I will also be skipping next Friday. Not only because GT3 will arrive in my house, but it's bloody the commemoration service, and I can think of hundreds of more interesting things, such as watching grass grow, timing paint dry or even playing Mario 64.
HOT HOT HOT!

I was at boarding school so didn't have a choice about not being there. Boarding school is a bit like prison in that respect.
I've never been fired from work, but I did quit two jobs to concentrate on finishing Final Fantasy VII and quit one job because it got in the way of developing one of my characters on Final Fantasy VIII.

Nope :-)

Currently I'm working for Grix Inc., which gives me all the time I need to play games. If my work involves gaming, it effectively IS gaming, so there's no need to quit.

I am guessing that the show isn't open to the general public Meka. Or is it? I cannot go anyways as I will either be in Ibiza or on the plane back.
