I'm tempted to re-post the Deer story I did for Meka's competition a couple of years back.

Heh. I know I didn't need to put that in. Just trying to say that the music needs to be more than an incidental bird chirping in a tree or something.
I like it when the theme is at the heart of the story. Not that I really do that ...
I chose music because it's (roughly) a non-physical thing, and I thought it could throw up some unexpected ideas. Then again, it's probably a terrible theme that'll reap hardly any entries.
