Gran Tourismo Network
go unnoticed??
Look at the latest footage and you'll notice that the shadow is now the shape of the car, and is cast realistically, moving and changing in relation to the position of the sun.
That's just ONE of the improvements!
60hz, anamorphic widescreen may just make my PS2 the best looking console ever to have been released to date. Everyone else will be left lagging behind.
I pulled my demo out again the other day, and apparently the game plays fater and looks better than this?? Surely it can't get much better, but can you imagine how good "Gran Tourismo Network" is going to look??
When OPSM2 magazine put a demo of it on the cover ages ago, it was all looking sweet! they also said that it wasnt the final code and that it would get better, which is hard to imagine. though did anyone notice that the sound effect for the squealing tyres was completely rubbish? I hope they have sorted that one...
OPSM2 say they have another demo of it soon, maybe next month?
"Your PS2 is incomplete without this game"
I was beginning to imagine GT3 to be more than just a game, which is all it is!
Unfortunatly it is too late for me and MGS2, which is quite simply the the most essential experience ever! There's no getting me out of the clouds with regards to this game!
They say to ignore the reports of 'bad' AI in other mags; apparently if you adjust the difficulty, the AI improves dramatically.
I know GT3 won't be perfect, but it's as near as anyone will get until at least GT4! It all depends whose reviews yu trust more, and whether you're inclined to believe the best or the worst.
Personally, when I played the GT3 demo on the official mag's coverdisc, I found the car (Pennzoil Nismo Skyline) much harder to control than in GT2.
Still, it's all idle speculation... I'll judge it when I get the game. I'm not expecting to be disappointed! :-)
