Everyone goes on about how good it is that England get another place in Europe. But what are the chances that any of those teams will do well? I agree with the change in rules in 2003/2004 so that only champions can play in it. It is supposed to showcase the best in European football, however it just funds ailing teams like Real Madrid that struggle to win their league, but because they finish in the top four, they can rely on the huge funds coming in from UEFA. The amount of money in European football is too much as it is, and now finishing anywhere in the top half is almost enough to get a place or a shot at a place in Europe. Why should Liverpool have the right to play in the champions league whenever they cant even finish 2nd in the country, yet in the FIFA rankings they are the best club of the season.

I agree , i think the champions league should be for champions . Not tale ender clubs who just tag alog . The true winners should play in the champions league . Although i do agree that there should be a UEFA or something like that for the close conterders, but the dont deserve a champions league place and stuff..........
