So later on tonight I'm going to order 1MB Broadband but which ISP should I get it from? Here's a list I've made:

Wanadoo 1MB Broadband - £34.99 per month, capped - yes, 30GB per month.

Pipex 1MB Broadband - £33.99 per month, not capped.

AOL 1MB Broadband - £29.99 per month, capped - yes ??GB

BT 1MB Broadband - £??.??, capped ???

So, which one do I get? If I missed out any be sure to tell me...

I've been on Nildram 512k and I've never been able to complain about it. But I don't know what their 1mb services are like or how much.
Out of that list, Pipex.

If it's half as fast as it used to be, wouldn't that make it the 512Kb service? :P

Exactly what I was saying. It's only popular in Britain because people are stupid enough to get it- same reason why Labour are in power- too many idiots.

I'm a blueyonder customer so I'd probably recommend them. They've recently increased the speed of all their connections, so 1mb is half as fast as it used to be at 1.5mb, at no extra cost either.

That said, a 1mb connection costs £38 if your not a Telewest customer, £35 if you are. Perhaps not the most financially viable then, but the added cost does give you added speed.

As far as I know, BT 1Mb is uncapped. Not sure of the price though. I'd personally go for either BT or Pipex.

BT is pretty cheap, but I think it may be capped. I definitely advise you to stay away from AOL, not only because it's capped but because it takes over your settings, which you cannot alter, so AOL cannot be uninstalled. Plus, the service allegedly sucks. Don't know about Pipex, but if the price is right you might as well get it.

My advice- Get BT if it turns out to be well priced and uncapped- Capping is a bad thing, because it limits everything. Downloads, porn, music, porn... everything.
