Your thoughts?

Definately.
GT games are too limited.
Race 100 hunderd laps round the same track to unlock a car?
Errrrrr no thanks.
I also hear that GT4 is gonna have a penalty system online so if you hit another persons car you get a 10 second speed penalty. That sounds like a hell of a lot of fun.
For me Project Gotham, Rallisport 2 and TOCA Race Driver are all better than GT3 and by the sounds of GT4 as well. They manage to provide a realistic racing experience but not get too anal about the realism thing and stay fun. Especially as Forza Motorsport comes out later in the year which is gonna have even more customisation options than even GT games, customised skins for your cars online? oh god the options for that are gonna be immense.

I'm also a big fan of the real life cities, and although GT4 will have more cars, I find 110 or whatever it is now with the downloadable content to be plenty.
The best bit of the GT series is the tuning and buying part of it. But that is pretty much micro management, and if that is what I want then I'd be better off playing Civilization than GT.
For me racing games are about the driving, and in that, PGR2 is the greatest ever.
Live rules.
Can't understand the people claiming it's better than Gran Turismo though :S
Sorry guys, it's a decent arcade racer, but GT it is not, can't wait to get the single player GT and then go online with my garage :D
PGR2 vs GT3!!!
WINNER: GT3
> Even without a tuning option it creams the Gran Turismo games
That was the best part of the game for me. Being able to buy and sell cars, upgrading them etc etc
