I've played the Mall mostly, on both teams. Very big and a real trek for the mercs. The whole 'track spies from the comfort of the Security office' thing is utterly pointless - you simply don't want to be sat in the room waiting for a section to flash red - you'd rather be out there patrolling.
It's tricky for the spies too though - they don't have it easy. Forced routes through secure areas, ventilation fans in the vents posing a risk of death if you go near them etc.
There are lots of hiding places and secret routes that take you virtually everywhere, but the neutralisation time is long enough to give the mercs a fighting chance, so you'll need to keep your wits about you - whichever side you choose.
All in all, a fairly matched map (it was said that the mercs had the advantage, but that's balls) and most probably my new favourite :)

As for the Bank, well, I've only played as a Merc on this one. Quite easy to get lost and the first section makes you feel like you're going round in circles and missing out the rest of the map. I' say the spies had the advantage here as there are loads of vent routes and plenty of dark areas to hide in. I've yet to play as a spy so I can't confirm if it is advantageous or not...
Again, a large map, but this time you're helped out by the fact that the 2nd section is closed off until the first one has been neutralised, a-lá Warehouse. Great map, but once in the 2nd room, it's pretty hard for the spies to neutralise.

Er, overall, I'd definitely recommend you purchase this DLC - it's well worth it and will add some more life to an already brilliant game. Only problem is, the whole "I wanna be a spy!" thing comes back into play and people start whining/leaving when they have to be a merc.
£3 well spent :)

Ali, say it isn't so!
The DLC makes up for the poor attempt with the PGR2 content with possibly some of the most unimaginitive race maps since Gran Turismo 3... All they had to do is slap the DVD player on and put in a copy of Ronin to get some great ideas for fast and intense courses, instead it looks like they couldn't be jacked and the result is joshulus poorority.
Will probably do a fair few more Free games before jumping into a ranked game on the new maps though as there is nothing more annoying than a player who doesn't know a map jumping into a ranked game.
Depending on when you get them, I'll play. I should be online until 5:30/6:00 tomorrow.
I shall get tommorrow. Up for a game anyone?
Being a spy is so much better it's not true. I'll quite happily be a merc if needs be, but everyone normally swaps. Really getting into PT, as Rainbow Six 3 is kinda exhausted for the moment. Was playing with 2 good players the other day - worked together (played with them in different games) and kicked some butt. Good fun.
