"Snap your fingers snap your neck"
My Limp Bizkit story.
Went to see a band called Soulfly about 4 years ago now at The Astoria in London.
Soulfly are a Brazilian punk/rock outfit fronted by Max Cavelera (formerly of Sepultura and Nailbomb).
Support was by a band called Cold and Limp Bizkit.
Cold were...well..playing as we walked in, so no idea really.
Then Limp Bizkit came on. No idea who they were. Guitarist was wearing a skull-suit with a mask. Looked pretty cool.
1st song was played and I thought "Hmmm..rap-rock."
They did play Faith, which rocked.
Then another 40 mins of rap-rock.
Energetic but...utterly pointless.
Then Soulfly came out and blew them offstage with passion, realism, fury and feeling.
Limp Bikzit - I didn't mind them, but he's not the saviour of "nu-metal".
What a stupid name for music.
As Non-Zero said, Prong rocked.
As did Helmet, White Zombie, Filter and many others.
