On Thursday, Konami announced that it will release Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty for the North American PlayStation 2 this November. The Japanese release will follow one month later in December. According to Konami, the reason for the earlier release in North America is to coincide with the holiday shopping season, beginning Thanksgiving Day. The game was originally planned for a simultaneous worldwide release. Released in September 1998, the first Metal Gear Solid game for the PlayStation has sold more than 6 million copies worldwide to date.
Ive heard many different release dates for MGS2 over here - December being the earliest and May 2002 being the latest - I dont really care when it is out I know it will be worth the wait but I would rather play it sooner than later!!

PAL -> NTSC can't be a day, otherwise why do so many developers skip that step?
Really Bonus, I thought you knew that.
