"Live connection problem."

Hi everyone.

I can't connect to Xbox live. :( I've tried using the online guides but they didn't help.

Basically:

My PC is on a wireless home network, which connects to a router downstairs.

I have my Xbox connected to my PC using a crossover cable which plugs into an Ethernet port on the back of my PC

Xbox cannot find the Live service.

Help!

Do I need to set it up on the Wireless netowork or the Local Area connection (ethernet, obviously) in Network connections?

Have you set up Internet Connection Sharing?

I did think about it, but because I'm saving for aforementioned iBook I'm strapped for cash. :(

You could splash out a little money and buy a wireless adapter for the Xbox and set it up to connect to your router downstairs.

Yup, it works plugging straight into the router.

Hmm... I might just wait for my iBook to turn up and use that, it must be easier to set up.

Have you tried moving the xbox downstairs and plugging it straight into the router?

I'm pretty poop at this kind of stuff but it seems like its doing too much.
