Hi everyone.
I can't connect to Xbox live. :( I've tried using the online guides but they didn't help.
Basically:
My PC is on a wireless home network, which connects to a router downstairs.
I have my Xbox connected to my PC using a crossover cable which plugs into an Ethernet port on the back of my PC
Xbox cannot find the Live service.
Help!

notices he was putting in the wrong username to set up the router...which was just below, (clearly labelled as the connection user name,) the one I'd been using. *cries*

There's no Phoneline upstairs for me to use.
Can't you move the router upstairs and use the wireless adapter on the downstairs PC? Therefore you'll be able to drag a cable to your PC and another cable to the Xbox.
I tried it on the Wireless network and it said, "Another device is already using this IP address. The default is 192.168.0.1 I believe, and that was my router, so I changed the router and it still comes up with the same message.
