Cost does come into the equation and that was all I could afford, sorry that's all my credit card could afford :( at the time!
Still it gives me excellent performance for the size and gets my other half wound up because of the noise when you crank it up watching Gladiator....LOL!!

The Creative labs kit, is good, however, it doesn't have a hope of competing with Yamaha's kit, they have one set up in Dixons in Dundee to a Sony DVD player, what a sound, but at £400, what else would you expect!!!
If you want a home entertainment system I could recommend the Creative Labs DTT3500 from SR at £210.
I bought one the other day, absolutely fantastic and has made a couple of my colleagues very envious!
Sorry don't know anything about the Yamaha system but try a comparison with the above product and see what you think.
