Have a look at this: (remove space)

I'm sorry, but this is ridiculous, at least the TombRaider games had a modicum of story to them, how the hell can you make a film based on CT???

What next? Tetris: The Movie?

Does anyone else think this is starting to go a bit far now?

I think it could work but it would have to be nothing to do with the game otherwise it would be a guy driving around with screams every now and again.

Crazy Taxi will suck as a movie IMO.

I recorded a chase on Driver which was much better than Ronin's, but my memory card got nicked.

There really needs to be a decent car chase in some new film... it's getting awful with all these templated stunt scenes...

Nope, I disagree, Ronin has the definitive 'all time' car chase out of the contenders, which number very few.

There's French Connection, Bullit, and Ronin. Herbie doesn't even get a mention. Interestingly, ALL three used double cut editing so you can see the same scene twice from different angles, which is very annoying, you'd think they'd credit us with a bit more intelligence as an audience, wouldn't you?

Best all time driving sequences in a game HAVE to be either from Driver or TOCA 2, where you can actually edit and playback some of your greatest moments and make them into a film. This feature in Driver particularly made it a very playable game, and this 'be a director' feature should be used more in other genres, not just sports/driving games.

$12,000

The studio paid once they realised the footage they had was...intense.

The French Connection has the definitive car-chase.

And what's more, it's real.

They couldnt get permission to film, so the director got in the back, stunt driver in front and a couple of cameras attached to the car.

And they did it for real.
The people you see diving out of the way, the other cars just being missed...those are just genuine people, not actors.

Stunning to watch when you know it was done live.
