Rather good, and out on Friday.

Thrashes Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance for gameplay; 10,000+ items to collect; 5 playable classes (male or female, so 10 different characters, all fully customisable); and of course up to 4 player co-op, offline AND online.

I haven't tested it online yet because although the servers are up I appear to be one of the few lucky persons who got a freebie copy a week early (ta, Sony), so there's never anybody on when I look for games.

Tips:

If you go Barbarian you'll be able to carry much more before you have to nip back to the shop to sell your loot.

You can save your game twice, import one character to a new game, drop items on the ground, pick them up with another imported character and thereby dupe items to your heart's content and never be short of gold, same with items. In a way this is a good thing because you won't see a bunch of people using action replay to cheat their way to the best items just so they can flog them on eBay. Not something I'd do personally because it takes all the fun out of finding stuff yourself.

Best Solo Class? Dark Elf ShadowKnight I feel, mine's level 20 and in Act IV of V without too many problems. He did get stuck at the end of Act 1 trying to defeat the boss Spider at level 10, but I just started a new game, imported my level 10 Delf, got him to level 12 by the time he reached the spider second time around and kicked his butt. Plus at level 15 he gets a Skeleton buddy to fight along side him, not to mention Harm Touch (one shot kill baby yeah!) at level 25.

Save your weapon crafting gems! (Unless you're a duper of course). Lightning ones look really cool when you add them to a level 13 weapon plus they slow down whatever you hit :)

Boss Tactics: Most bosses you can just run about in circles to get up close and behind them then whack them when they're facing the other way, but make sure you've got at least one ranged attack spell or a bow to weaken the bigger bosses first

Finally, be careful how you level your skills. They max out at 20 points, you only get something like 160 skillpoints up to level 50, so you can be a jack of all trades and level them all a little, or concentrate on just a few skills and specialise (I think you can max out a total of 8, not sure on that yet, but I'm working on it).

10/10 Enjoy.

Yup, but so far everyone I've grouped with and killed bosses with has said "OK, so you're a Dark Elf, lets see what we got..." and then they chuck all the good Dark Elf stuff that I can use on the ground. Unless they're a Dark Elf themselves of course, in which case we don't worry about it and agree that I can get the drop from the next boss etc.

Pretty friendly online. The system is if it drops anyone in the group can pick it up, but so far everyone doesn't seem greedy, which is neat.
