Games today often have an option to save the game whenever you want. The latest example of this would be Red Faction. At first I loved the idea of being able to save your progress in a game wherever you want but there will be BIG consequences if you get it wrong.
Say you have done quite a lot of the game for today, and you think you should save it incase something or other happens. Nothing wrong with that idea there, infact it sounds quite clever. So you decide to save the game. Then you turn it of for the night. The next day you wake up early and you want to pick up where you last left off when suddenly you find that you have a boss to battle against. No problem you think, luckily I saved the game just before it. As you prepare for battle something terrible happens. You notice you only have 6 bullets left of your machine gun, and all the other guns are empty. What are you going to do? After the 124 unsuccessful attempt on trying to kill the boss you become aware that it is infact impossible, and therefor you have to start again all the way from the beginning of the game.
It is not a nice thing to happen, believe me and I was wondering if any of you experienced this before. Also, what could be done to prevent things like these from happening?
It can’t be!
Okay, you got me worried. Where are you up to then ant?
It's very annoying, and I had to start again.
Wait a mo...this means I'm ahead of M16....
*Ant rushes off to play Red Faction, which he has to add, is an amazing game.*
Its best, IMHO, to split a game into chapters, a la Perfect Dark. That way you keep the tension factor, but never have to go ALL the way back to the begining.

I meant this.

Usually PS2 games only give you the

How did you do that on Conkers TN?
