When I was a kid I remember the Incredible Hulk coming on TV on a Saturday.
I loved it. All of his clothes would tear, and he'd get all big and green and smash stuff up.
That was such a coll program, and any kid would love it.
But you know what really got me about that show?
How it always ended with David Banner walking alone down the road, with that sad music playing.
I still remember that as well today as I did when I first saw it. Even though the Hulk was cool, and he smashed stuff up, I just wanted David Banner to get back to normal somehow.
There's nothing like that on TV now.
Saturdays used to be about Airwolf, The A-Team, The Fall Guy and the Incredible Hulk. There's nothing like that on anymore, and that's a shame.
> In a Saturday, early evening spot?
Nope... but then... the people who watched those programs are all gone an growed up now :) ... Same kinda shows, different time slots...
Bring back
> Terrahawks.
Dear god.. NO!!.. The only good thing about Terrahawks was having that Welsh Guy as the sargent major cuboid thing...
Gerry Anderson productions suck enourmously! :)
No jokes please.
We had these shows as kids. They were fun, taught and enforced minor lessons that we could understand as kids (Crime is bad, evil will be punished, friendship is a good and rewarding thing) - but now there doesnt seem to be anything like that aimed towards kids.
It was entertainment, yes, but also gently suggested ways to make sure you were a decent person.
Now?
Baywatch?
I don't want to watch the same shows again, well, maybe some of them, but it would be nice to see something similar fill that time slot in which I used to watch these shows! You know it would be better than Catchphrase with that bloke that isn't Roy Walker.
If he's not roy Walker, is there any point in it coming on anymore?
"Say what you see!"
"It's a good answer, but it's not right."
> Now we have the X-Files, Simpsons, etc...
In a Saturday, early evening spot?
Bring back Terrahawks.
Lee Majors played such a part of my childhood.
Six Million Dollar Man, The Fall Guy..what a hero. Fall Guy rocked big time..
"Well I'm not the kind to kiss and tell, but I've been seen with Farah..it's true I fire my body in the hay..a-hay hay...I might fall from a tall building or crash a brand new car..cos I'm the unknown stuntman..that made Eastwood such a star"
Airwolf, Manimal, Chopper Squad, The A Team, Man from Atlantic, Tales of The Golden Monkey...good, clean kids fun with no death, no drugs, just action and excitement all the way.
And..*drumroll*..
C.H.I.P.S
The Daddy of Prime-Time kids tv.
Jon and Punch on Harley Davidson's fighting crime.
These shows had a moral center, nobody died, good triumphed and they were fun.
Today?
Pokemon
It's just not the same
