No i haven't lost my mind and this is actually about the PS2.

So there i am, back from HMV with a shiny copy of Heat in the bag, go upstairs and place the disc in my PS2 after unwrapping it and eventually getting the bloody thing out the case. (Whoever came up with the idea for those press down release thingy's aught to be shot)

2 seconds in and suddenly i hear this loud clicking, quickly turn off the PS2 and inspect the disc. Nothing wrong it seems so i put it in again and the clicking happens again. Turn it off and give up, deciding to put a PS2 disc in to see what happens. No clicking but a huge loading time results along with my joypad decided to turn it's analogue control off at inappropiate times. Games still work but with vastly increased loading times, a few times where i have to restart the game as it keeps going back to the browser screen and a couple of instances where the sound gets screwed up (La Pucelle Tactics, battle song gets stuck on same note all the way through even though the voices of the characters are fine)

So thank you bloody much Mr De Niro, all because i wanted to see things get blown up and shot my PS2 gets screwed up after 4 years loyal service

*slaps forehead*

You're the muppet. That was Sylvester Stallone.

Robert De Niro was in Taxi Driver, Godfather pt. II, Goodfellas, Once Upon A Time In America, Heat, and many other classics.

Yea mine does that as well however now it's started doing it while playing in-game. Very annoying trying to line up my pitch in Cricket 2004 only for the analogue to switch off and the marker to swerve madly across the place.

Four years?

That's something of a record. Count yourself lucky - the rest of us had to shell out the cash after about two.
