"Star Wars Episode 1: Phantom Menace Vs Terminator 2: The Ultimate Edition"

According to DVD Reviewer, Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace will be releasing on the 15TH October 2001. This also happens to be the day Terminator 2: The Ultimate Edition is released. I know which one I will be getting and it won't be the one with stupid characters but alas it is obvious Star Wars will be victorious due to it's enormous popularity with Children, not to mention the huge pre release media hype it will receive.

T2 is excellent
Although the two films are in two completely different genres i think T2 is the better film.
Episode 1 was boring really...a few good bits
but T2 has a good plot, good affects even now
and just an all round better feel to the movie.
One of james cameron's best.
PM was good but a mere shadow of any of the trilogy.
It's actors lacked ability or maybe they had far too much to live up to, or maybe the affects got in the way of the plot who knows but i felt it let hte series down and definately overated.
The second and third films sound better.
Jedi/Sith lightsaber battles in the rain.

Oh I see, YOOOUUUUU'VE got T2 on Region 1. Wee here this, I don't want it on Region 1 because the picture suckes.

Cause' it didn't live up to the expectations that Episodes 4, 5 and 6 set.

In anycase, I already have T2 - Ultimate Edition on Region 1 anyway, so it makes no odds to me, but I'll most likely get Episode 1.

I'm currently waiting on the Criterion Version of Robocop on Region 1 to land on my door-step, along with Wayne's World: The Epic Story.

Can't believe it's taken them this long to get T2 on a Region 2 release. Now I know why I buy Region 1.

Absolutely Ant!! The Phantom Menace was an amazing film and I cant see how anyone could criticise so much!!

And getting Ewan Mgregor (how the hell do you spell his name) to play Obi-Wan. That was the worst mistake of the millenium. (It was made before the new millenium wasn't it.) Don't get me wrong. I like Ewan Mgre.....grrrrr but he was awful in that role. Completely mis-cast. And I can't spell his name.

And the effects when Darth Maul fell down the hole. They were great.

How can you say that? Phantom Menace is appalling. Okay, so I said it was alright at the cinema but when I saw it on video, AAAAAARRRRGGGHHH!!!!! It was so bad. T2 on the other hand is absolutely stunning. Great special effects, great storyline and great fun. I'll be getting T2 not Star Wars.

And I'm not sure whether Star Wars will win. I think T2 will win. It is very popular and............it's the ULTIMATE DVD!!!
