They start at 16 Megabytes but they can go up to 512 Mb. The reason the developers don't use the extra space is because it costs a lot i.e the memory sticks cost up to £100 for 64 Mb and 2d games do not need to be this big unless using FMV.

I do believe that the GBA and the Gamecube will completely wipe the salesmarket in 2002. especially after i know this info. Thanks you guys

Yeah Resident Evil 2 on N64 had 512MB and that was massive for an N64 game!

A: 510 Mbit

It cant be 510. The Mb's have to be a power of 2

i.e 1bit, 2bit, 4bit, 8bit, 16bit, 32bit, 64bit, 128bit, 256bit, 512bit

It's all part of binary

he obviously meant 512mb

how much can gamecube ones hold?

They're around 1GB. About 1 seventh of the PS2's
