I know I'm a bit crazy in doing so, but I've just got myself the entire NES collection including the GBASP :|

My brother bought me two of the games for me birthday (which was a while ago) and today I impulse bought the rest as well as trading in my blue SP.

I'm happy with my purchases but admit am slightly mad.

Aha they do have STARS but how much are they worth?

I am incredibly tempted by a few "NES CLASSICS" namely Ice Climbers (simply because I've never played it), Donkey Kong (legend in it's own right), Mario Brothers (then I'll have all the main 2D adventures on the GBA) and The Legend of Zelda (I already have two editions of this but I might feel more compelled to play the GBA edition)...

But what will seal it for me is whether or not they contain any STARS?

Could've sworn there was.... though I think you're grasping at straws for your other differences. Still ,each to their own. I'm quite happy with being able to save it and not have to start all the way from the beginning every time.

There are many differences between the NES version and the GBA version, some being:

• Save Feature There wasn't a save feature in the original Super Mario Bros 3 on the NES
• The crappy voices
• The way Luigi jumps in comparison with Mario
• The leaf in the minigame where you have to stop the three reels to make a picture

And is it just me, or is it much easier than the NES and Super NES versions?

As for what you think of me Matribute - I couldn't care less what you think about me. I don't know you other than what I read from you on here. And you read to be an Alastair wannabe, which is no great thing.

I've suddenly become addicted to Battletoads, Double Dragon and MegaMan.

Erm, if I remember rightly Super Mario Bros 3 already had a save feature on the NES version, so the only difference to the GBA one, other than a different name, is graphics being slightly upgraded - which hardly wrecks it. If it didn't then I obviously had a very rare version, 'cause mine saved :P

Strangely, I've seen reviews of Super Mario Bros NES Classic slating it for having no save option, which is unfair because the original never had it either...the point of the NES classics is to reproduce the games.

As it is, the other Mario GBA games, and Super Mario All Stars, never claimed to be reproductions of originals, its pretty clear they are upgraded originals.

Animal Crossing has them....but has anyone saying that tried to carry a Gamecube, power supply and a screen not much bigger than the GBA's, around with them. Pretty big pockets if you can get that lot in them lol

Pac-man is alot better free, and on GC.. Bomberman also I'd prefer to get on Cube. And Xevious is crap.

It's been upgraded to the SNES version and has added "Whoo hoo's" and all that stuff in that has ruined the Super Mario Bros series.
