Hurrah!

I haven't watched it yet, or read the magazine (post came three minutes ago) but, according to the box, we have, "46 new game demos, including DS games, the new Goldeneye game, RE4, DK Jungle Beat, Zelda" etc etc

Running time, approx. 95(!) minutes.

It seems there is almost as much Margera family in it as Hawks.. what with the Hawks vs. Margera thing they seem to have this time.

The Tony Hawks video is very funny indeed. You can play as Phil Margera. hahaa.

The Resi footage is shocking. Thats the first time I have seen it moving and it looks absolutly fantastic. The ragdoll physics really make shooting in games alot more realistic. The way their arm flies back if you shoot them in the shoulder or make them fall over if you pop em' one in the kneecap.

Theres no getting away from it either. On the video he went in a small hut, closed the door.. then one of the villagers whips out a chainsaw and has the door down with it.

I really liked their Star fox 2 and the totally not been shown before Super mario 64x4 bit where all 4 are flying about the castle. The star fox multiplayer looks awsome, and it doesn't waste space with a stupid camera screen when there are only 3 players, which i think lets you concentrate more. But the best thing about that video was the huge battle field that you were flying through in a almost 360degree turn in a 3d space environment, remind you of lylat wars a lot doesn't it?

GoldenEye looks poor.
Slow and cluggy with below average graphics.

Gameplay-wise, I couldn't say. But (see below) no traces on the bullets = very annoying. No chance to quickly re-aim as in TS2.

DId you hear?
Ninty are doing a GC bundle with a Metroid 2 demo with it - in America, possibly here.

Metroid Prime actually has quite a name for itself. It may not make a huge difference, but loads of XBox owners I know think highly of it after such critical acclaim.

Never know, it may just sell a few Cube's.

I really liked this DVD because it showed that, even on the GameCube, developers are still taking a step-up in pushing the GameCube closer towards it's limits.

There was a time when games like The Wind Waker and (the original re-make) Resident Evil were considered as the best they could...

But then, just look at some of the effects in Second Sight; look what EA are doing with GoldenEye: Rogue Agent - yes, EA, for Christ's sake!

Ignoring FIFA 2005, it only gets better! :)

I'd have liked some better shots of the DS games in action though. Why couldn't they simply fill our TV screens with what's going on, rather than trying to squeeze the whole system in aswell?

And, I always thought Gosen was German, not English...? Such a shame he's leaving then.

Resident Evil 4's delay in Europe maybe a catastrophie for Nintendo's christmas sales.
