"Reviews Shortened"

The limit for reviews was recently reduced to 6000 characters. This is due to be further reduced to 4000 characters as we feel that most people prefere to read shorter reviews.

We hope to have a place for Walkthroughs soon with a much higher character limit.

Usually people prefer reading reviews of less than 1000 words, they'll take more in and the quality of the review will probably improve.

I must have been away when this was posted but Im ere now!!

I used to like having the option of knowing that I COULD write upto 10,000 and it is extremly hard I have found to write a decent review so shortly, in most cases I am spending half-an hour writing it and another trying to get it to fit, I say bring it back up or make it at least 6000 again!!

Also the Walkthroughs Idea YESSSSSS!!! Finally! Well I have some questions for this idea!!!

1) Will it be another GAD attempts?

2) Will you be able to write FAQ's for a Game or Game series (I feel another Zelda urge coming on :-))

3) When will this happen?

4) I should say that there should be no limit on the word count in the Walktroughs section like on UKchatforums!!

Well I think that that is all I will post more if I get any more questions!!

I think walkthroughs should be able to win GAD because some people will put a lot of effort into them, and they probably would deserve a GAD for their effort.

Ok there will be some cheaters thats why they could hold another competition lie a "Game a week". This would give who ever chooses the winner to check other sites and see if there are any walkthroughs identical to it.


Tony does this mean I will get a GAD for suggesting the walkthrough page?????

I know i've only written 4 reviews since i've been here but my shortest is 6,046 characters (including spaces) and that was when i couldn't be bothered to write a proper review. I can understand you shortening them to 6,000 but to 4,000! How is anybody going to write a decent review which covers all the game has to offer with only 4,000 characters? I was going to post some more reviews but i'm not even going to bother as i couldn't fit what i would want to say into a 4,000 character review.....and yes, i'm well aware of the time!

Err, I'm lost.

Right - just so we all know, the maximum review character count is CURRENTLY at 6000, not the 4000 stated when you write the review.
