Nintendo Will release Zelda and Mario 128 on the next console; The Revolution.
Well, Nothing about Mario 128 has been unveiled, not even one measly screenshot – and the Moto man (can’t spell his name) doesn’t know which console to release it on. To me this is Nintendo’s way of telling us that this game will not come out for cube. So I can almost feel it in my bones that this title will be a release title for the new console. Wouldn’t that be great? It is the best move they could make.
Now, The wonderful Zelda. All we have seen is a small clip of what looks to be like a FMV. And they tell us its still in the early stages of development – so I don’t think they will be releasing this for the cube either, they’d be stupid to release this on the Cube towards the latter end when the Wave of the Next Gen Consoles in upon us. So I am also thinking that this could be a possible release title. Mario and Zelda as release titles could win a lot of buyers.
Also, it seems strange why Paper Mario has disappeared off the release list – but that’s as maybe.
Now, How would Nintendo break this horrible news to the Nintendo Fans? Simple – reduce all the games, and the future releases too. Metroid Prime Echoes? 20 quid. Donkey Konga 20 quid. As a gesture of good will have course. When I thought this through I checked Cube-Europe… and this is the honest truth. I came across this…

Which I can safely say backs up my statement.
So that’s my theory, a theory that makes more and more sense the more I think about it, and the morse i think about it the more i think Nintendo would be stupid not to make this move. But just think, Zelda and Mario on the same day for the new console – that would be fantastic. And considering the fact that most young kids are only allowed one console…
Well I’ll leave you to make your own conclusion.
What’s your view on all of this?
Though I wont count on that at all.
As for Zelda the game is a long way from complete but the engine is in place as is the graphics and the storyline idea... it's a case of continuing the build and that'll be ready by Christmas next year (lets be honest that is when we'll ALL get it as the game will be playable at next years E3 games show).

Ah, the old classic.
Can't beat a bit of Weebl.
PM2 and Zelda will be released on the 'Cube, I'm sure of that. M128 is a different matter, it could very well be released on the Cube (they've had the opportunity of working on it since before the GC was even released: remember the teaser video at E3?) but could equally be released on the Revolution as we don't know how long they have been working on it. I wouldn't be surprised at either to be honest.
As for Ninty ditching 'Cube now? I doubt it. They've already expressed their abhorrence at Microsoft and Sony attempting to shift the console field of play into the next gen area, as they seem to believe in each console having a 5 year lifespan. Whether this means they're p*ssed off at having to abandon the GC early or p*ssed of at the fact that they're gonna be left behind is a different matter. I doubt (and sincerely hope) that they will not let themselves get left behind with the Revolution by releasing it later than the competition as we have seen already (twice in fact) that this really damages them saleswise. However, the past has proved that Ninty are a very bloody-minded company that quite content to rest on their laurels, so who knows what they will do...
I think all the Games that Cube is going to see are up for pre-order - it’s looking like an early grave - I’m sad to say. But on the Plus side; if they ditch Cube now, they can focus on getting the DS & Revolution right.
I would have liked to see another Luigi's Mansion, but maybe with Mario the 2nd time round. Maybe on the GC Next.
;D
I can't understand why we have to wait until the 'Revolution' for Mario 128 though... But, I guess, we'd have to know Nintendo's top-secret info. on this game for that, though, wouldn't we.
Will we see another all-new Super Mario adventure before the GameCube's done (ignoring RPGs like Paper Mario 2, of course)?
Quite true, actually
