I know tonight at 9pm On Sky One sees the season finally of season 8. I was under the assumption that this was also the final OX-Files before the hopeful move to OX-Files movies, Is this correct is thist the last time Scully and Moulder will grace our TV screens in NEW episodes?

Very good script writing....search some sites for season 9 rumours and you'll see what I mean. Once it becomes clear jsut what Scully's baby is, and what it means, the whole alien plot thing is turned upside down. Dark times ahead in X Files world methinks.

I agree X files was strongst In Season 1 and 2 and by the begining of season 3 they had streted to loose it. From then on X-Files episodes were Hit and Miss.

i don't know if they have lost the plot but you were left wondering at the end of the series just who's baby was scullys.I mean was it really alien or was it mulders.If it was mulders was it the immaculate conception or is it going to be a dream and scully wakes up and mulders in the shower? with rumours that this was mulders last appearance we are left wondering what the hell is going on? its either very good script writing or as you say they have lost the plot.
who is the indestructable hybrid the one who does the knife job on skinners head in season 8 last ep?

Nope all the episodes do tie in to the plot , admittedly in remote ways in some cases like "EBE"

The samanthas and foxs on the farm were part of experimental clonings to make the much vaunted alien/human hybrid. Also it was never said the boys were "foxs" The alien bounty hunter killed one of the samanthas and no body was recovered which is how we know she was a hybird ( they used to melt into a pool of green stuff) The farm itself was used to grom a new crop which apeared in the X Files movie but agian its never epxplained fully, Maurita Courubias ( blonde UN woman ) tells mulder its part of an experiment in disease resistance, presumably the black oil before a cure was found ???

HOW DOES IT ALL FIT TOGETHER???
In the episodes in season 3 called "piper Maru" and "apocrypha" A french salvage team finds a WW2 US plane on the sea bed. A diver goes down and is shocked to find that the pilot is inside..STILL ALIVE...the black oil is in the pilot. The diver returns to the surface after breaking communications with the rest of the team and hes got the black oil in him. Later on Scully finds out that in the 1950's an american submarine on a secret mission had most of its crew killed during a black oil outbreak ( in flashbacks we se Mulders father and Ciggarette smoking man talking to a survivor ) Anyway htis is what Dogget refers to, not the rest of that story which is really long....

The chip was implanted when she was abducted but only discovered later by a doctor later on in the series. When removed it caused the cancer to begin, in last nights episode Krychek says this chip was partly responsible for her pregnancy. The cancer is caused so that any subject in whatever experiment was going on that tires to stop the experiment is killed off before any proof can be discovered or an investigation take place, Cigarette smoking man told Scully during the "nisei" and "731" two parter in season 4 that it was an experiment. The chip itslef was traced to a californian company and had a tracking elemnt to it. Only mulder obtaining a new chip cured Scully...
As to the plot of X files. yeah its complicated, but season 8 has simplified it. Basically theres 2 alien races. One wants to colonise, other doesnt. CSM is dead now so the "project" referred to in the film is dead...the aliens have begun to colonise and now theres a new unstoppable hybrid, the final model. Scully's baby is something "more human than human" but one side of aliens does not fear it...and Dogget and Reyes are now the X files team. Season 9 is already rumoured to be a scorcher !
Lastly, seeing as Im now proved to be a sad sad X Filly, has anyone considered what the ranger/alien woman said to Reyes when Reyes had her after throwing the water in her face ? "This baby WILL be born". I watched the whole thing again this morning and realsied something from what Krychek said to Mulder, he tells him he wanted the same as Mulder, to stop colonisation and thats why Scully cannot have her baby. Call this a longshot but......is Scully's baby the first hybrid born "naturally" ? Thats why the aliens dont stop it form happening and why Krychek wanted her dead, it's the final stage of the experiment begun in season 2 when she was abducted.

I have been watching x-files since almost the very beggining. The first season, the one where the building has artificail inteligence and kills people (episode 6 i think).
It bugs me just how over the top the x-files has become.
I missed many of season 8 and 7 but before that i watched it non stop but it just got over and over the top.
I think i have lost the plot entirely. I had the whole thing down to a tee around about season 5 or 6 but info is let out in earlier episodes that has no relevance to future episodes. What was going on with that farm of samanthas and foxs the one with the bees? What was all this about that ship or whatever scully found under the water.

Actually when you think about it it's not "crap", at first it seems so but consider these facts and new questions ;
1. Director Kirsch is now under investigation. He's guilty as hell so he won't be aournd long.
2. Krychek's dead so no one we know of now knows the full alien conspiracy.
3. where did Scully's baby come from ? Do the aliens really not fear it or did they leave because of someone else...... Or were they too late...... From the previous episode Krychek says her baby is not alien, "more human than human" are his words. If he wasn't lying...but from his last words to Mulder in this episode we now know Krychek was against the laines - he was not lying.
4. Mulder reaches Scully + Reyes in record time, it took reyes and Scully much longer than a few hours to reach that farm, even in a copter Mulder could not reach the farm in time and find it with just the basic info Doggett gave him....The lone gunmen even say something about this but Mulder lies to them....why ?
5. Dogget + Reyes have now seen proof of the alines and will be better in season 9.
6. The light Reyes see's twice over the farm - it is not the same group which suround the farm but leave when Mulder arrives....
Personally I think episode 1 of season 9 will be v.interesting......
