I have a very hot tip it'll be released mid-October
I still think September, it seems to be a popular month for big game releases. The system specs have already been relesed which suggest it's close to going gold, but then I remember last year, where the hyped spetember release never came.
november i'd bet. typical pre christmas release when the hype is huge and money flows feely.
The day i believe a Half Life 2 release date is when i go up town and see it sitting there on the shelves.
I think it's a little bit too optimistic, I've seen no definite confirmation of the release date, and it would be un wise for Valve to release the game so close to Doom 3 (which is out on the 13th of August). Though, I see strong signs that if it is too be released any time this year, it'll probably be sometime in September.
