Did anyone see that programme on Sci Fi night on Channel 5 (those can get reception) couple of Sunday's back, refuting the accomplishment of any of the moon landings?
Any physicists or the like out there to give learned views on how, if it was a fake, they could have made such a bodge job of it! The NASA spokesman was not very helpful and just plain arrogant.

They brought it up in the 'documentary'

(used in the loosest sense of the workd... Even Ch4 Documentarys are less biased, and less prone to enourmous leaps of speculation than this was)

I think some people need to stop watching The X-Files, open their curtains and make some friends.

Anyway, do any of you people remember a movie called "Capricorn One"?

This has been discussed for years.

Man faked the moon landing. Yeah, and Oswald was an angry lone nut.

You dont need a picture... use any half decent telescope... or even a decent pair of binoculars and you should be able to see them...

(grab a book from the library to find out where to look)

Otherwise, there are bound to be loads of piccys on the net of it...

Remeber... when the landsing were taking place, instead of watching it on TV, thousands if not millions of people around the world were watching it happen, live, throught their telescopes...

If there had been no landing, someone there would have piped up :)

I saw the program and stopped watching after about five minutes because it is a ridiculous claim and is just appealing to the X Files fans who want to believe there is some kind of mass conspiracy. Okay so I personally have no proof but if you get to that stage then any proof offered would not be something you would believe. Say I have a picture from a telescope.....how do you know its not a laser projection or CGI ? You can't know and at some point you have to believe without proof.

Why would the USA want to fake the landings ? It was the height of the Cold War admittedly and Russia had already beaten the Americans into space but even the Russians admitted they knew Apollo 11 was in space....why would they co-operate with the USA ? Or wasn't that in the rest of the program...... To fake something of this scale would require a large amount of people, and I'm not aware of any witness claiming they were part of the fake, and I mean a witness who refers to the ACTUAL fake, not clips taken from another unrelated interview....... Also its now well known that in the closing stages of WW2 US and Russian forces captured German scientists to take back to their respective countries, amongst them the Peenemunde team responsible in part for the V1 + V2 who were taken to the USA and would eventually be part of the team who were responsible for Apollo 11's success. Lets face it, this program was pure rubbish and badly researched from what I've heard on the net about it.

I find it sad so many doubt what took place in 1969 because it cheapens the sacrifices made by men and women whose only dream was to put mankind into space...... Is it really so hard to believe man can actually achieve so much ?

If you can give me a picture from a telescope which clearly shows the lunar lander/buggy sitting on the moon, not faked etc then I will believe you.

Until then I will not believe that anyone has been on the moon.
