So a little brat whose parents have more money than sense likes to do nothing better than kill and maim his toys. He gets more and more toys in by the day and destroys them.

The toy people know that they can’t go on like this so they create a hero to bring this boy down. This hero is Bouncy Ball!

He gets sent to the kid along with the other toys with every intent of punishing the little brat. The boy throws him – BIG MISTAKE.

Now you control the Bouncy Ball in order to smash everything up and get the boy into enough trouble so that his parents ban him from toys while at the same time, avoiding all the people who are chasing you.

So how does this bouncy ball move and direct itself?
It has power to boost forward or spin.
It has a little power bar that goes down a bit when you use a power but it replenishes itself as you go (I.E. is recharges)

As you bounce around, you gradually lose your bounce so a boost is needed every now and then. It can also save you if someone is about to catch you.
You can also spin. While spinning, when you hit a surface you’ll bounce in a different direction depending on which way you spin.

The controls for the ball are fairly simple (I’ve designed it for the Gamecube pad but it can easily be converted to be used on the PS2 and Xbox pads too.)

The yellow analogue stick controls the camera, which can be moved around the ball. The should buttons are for zooming in or out.
For controlling the ball itself, you have the large A button to use the boost (the ball will blast forward faster in the direction it was moving) and the Z- trigger will be for a spinning boost.
The main analogue stick control the spinning depending on which was you move it. If you move is slowly then the ball will move slowly. If you flick it then it will spin faster. To spin even faster, press the direction you want to spin and then tap Z for a boosted spin.
All the buttons are analogue. The boosts will be stronger or weaker, depending on how hard you hit the button. The harder you hit it, the more energy it uses.

Once you’ve practised and got the hang of controlling the ball, there’s all sorts of things you can do.

There’s the one play where you basically go around and smash everything up. There is a score for how much pounds of damage you do. At first you’ll just have the boy chasing you but as you annoy more people you’ll have more people chasing you. On the last level you have to make your final escape and then watch as the brat learns his lesson. Of course, with your score being recorded for each level and all sorts of secret places that are hard to bounce into, there’ll be plenty of replayabilty value here.

A side from that there’s a few sub-games to get into. There’s the multiplayer race where you can bump into your opponents while bouncing a across the track. Tracks range from floating objects to bounce from to long corridors with all sorts of obstacles to dodge.

Another mini game is the one where you have to learn full control of the ball in order to fly through the rings in a course. On early levels, the rings are big and easy to fly through. As your skill and control increases you’ll reach higher levels where the rings get smaller and the courses get tighter.

The controls and the camera will be difficult to control but not as bad as it could’ve been. When I first thought of the game, it was to be viewed though the balls eyes. This might’ve been funny but it would also have been headache inducing and unplayable. (although I might put in “Through the eyes of the ball” as a secret cheat option to unlock…)

THIS is what you call an original genre of game, NOT MacDonalds sim!!!
