I have 37 games and 28 of them are pre owned, do you buy preowned games? or are you willing to pay the full price just to have it straight away?

I hardly ever buy pre-owned games. If they are cheap I'll buy them, but that doesn't happen very often.

If I get Castle Wolfenstein off Cyclone that'll be the first pre-owned game I've bought since the N64 and PS1 era.

EDIT: During this time I was young and skint, therefore couldn't afford every game brand new

I know it's a bad game, but the cheapest game I bought was £4.99 for pro cast fishing, in game of all places.

I rarely buy pre-owned, but the cheapest I've ever seen is Die Hard Vendetta for GameCube at £1.99

It was selling for 99p in the same shop brand new.

I have never bought any game pre-owned. I usually get new games, as £30 for a good decent game is ok. I have bought some cheap games as I wanted Alias but didnt want to spend £30 so got it for £16.99 brand new. Just got Soul Calibur 2 and Jak 2 both PS2 games for £10.99 and £17.99. GAME just had a 24 hour sale and got Final Fantasy X-2 for £12.99. So I try and get games that I want a few months down the line in the sales or special offer. If its a game I really want then I will get it full price. Pre-owned games could be dodgy, scratched disc, crappy case etc, I like nice neat cases, manuals and discs. My games collection is in perfect condition, even games that I got with my PS1 back in 1996 are perfect.

Don't see the point in paying a little extra just for a nice looking case. As far as scratches are concerned, I don't care as long as the games work, if they don't work properly you just take it back.

I buy a lot of my games pre-owned, most the time the look almost new anyway. I can't be bothered paying full price for games that will last me about a week, the cases and discs have always been in near new condition anyway.

Most new games appear in preowned sections within a week or less of going on sale. I didn't used to but now I buy most stuff preowned unless it's a big release/or cheap. you don't get bad cases because you obviously look at the case before you buy, and if you stick to Gamestation (who don't accept crap condition manuals unlike GAME) the manuals are fine. Nearly all my collection looks as new yet it's mostly preowned.

Some games on PS2/Xbox you just cannot easily buy new anyway - so unless you are rich and can buy every game you want the moment it comes out then you'll miss some games if you don't get them preowned.

Where do you buy your pre owned games from? I mean i have brought a few at game etc. But does anyone use a good online shop who offer second hand games?

I'd say GAME are the worst place to buy from - they're over priced, accept stuff in appaling condition, give you very little when you trade in your own stuff etc Gamestation/Blockbuster are best for prices - I'd say Another World also but they limit what they take. Special Reserve rates below GAME in terms of the price they offer you.

Don't know of any online places, eBay is rather obvious no?
