Ok there must be people out there who want to and are clever enough to be game designers/programmers.
If you want to program games then here is a little piece of advice, you need to learn low level programming, and understand most components associated with a PC and Consoles.
If you go to uni a subject like Software Engineering, computer science or Computer Game design would teach you most of what you need to know.

So if you are interested in this. Good Luck.

I study computer science at Strathclyde Uni (just finished first year) so if you want info on what it is about let me know.

There are a few tools around that supposedly make programming easy, DarkBasic being one of them, but you still actually have to have the patience to write a lot of rather boring looking code.

As for the price, the full downloadable version costs only a little less than £30, and the demo only works for 60 days, and doesn't allow compiling, so if you want to actually write anything decent, you'll want the full version.

Thought I recognised the name. Darkbasic was reviewed in one of the club magazines.

Sr sell Dark Basic. Advertise it that way.

It's probably a little bit better than the downloaded version too (only it will set you back £30)

Yes I'm doing basic game design now (ie. no coding just lateral thinking) but hope to maybe go on to game design. I also reckon I will go on to do Computer Science as I enjoy Chemistry and Physics is okay and love computers. However what the hell does this course involve? I have no idea! The other job that sounded nice for me was Computer Scientist.. again what does this involve?

About 50% of courses available to me I have no understanding of and I am suppose to decide what I want to do in like 1 year! AHH! :)
