If you want to program games then here is a little piece of advice, you need to learn low level programming, and understand most components associated with a PC and Consoles.
If you go to uni a subject like Software Engineering, computer science or Computer Game design would teach you most of what you need to know.

As for the price, the full downloadable version costs only a little less than £30, and the demo only works for 60 days, and doesn't allow compiling, so if you want to actually write anything decent, you'll want the full version.

Sr sell Dark Basic. Advertise it that way.
It's probably a little bit better than the downloaded version too (only it will set you back £30)
