As I type this thousands of shops will have opened across the country and will be selling the Game Boy Advances faster then any other console ever.... the gaming future is just about to begin, the GameBoy Advance is a big part of the future of gaming and the so called console war is getting ready to launch into full attack.

The GBA will offer all gamers from around the world something which they have never experience before, pure gameplay which is portable, you can run, dance, eat, cycle (not recommended), swim (with a plastic bag) and do just about anything with this little beautiful piece of kit

Instead of reviewing the system, let me just tell you this.

'To play one is to believe!'

This new gameboy has something which none of the others had, this time it has the support of Sega on its side, Sega today announced to many other developers that most of the great Master and Mega Drive games will appear on the handheld in the news few months, Capcom have coughed and spulttered a Street Fighter game. Nintendo have promised a better gaming system for the future.

'Gaming 24/7' ??

You bet it is, but why else would you want a GameBoy Advance, other than to play games and swim with a plastic bag? Well then, imagine playing a great rally game on the GameCube, you have the GBA as your control and your oppenent has a normal Nintendo GC control, the GBA can help and give you tips with on screen mas and shortcuts... what more could you want.

The GBA is simply the beginning of the future of gaming, it has to be played and seen to be beleived, and its just going to get better.

This time, its Nintendo's turn.

Thanks
er-no

P.S They are flying out of shops as I type 'this'

You would only magnify it twice, a bit like using the SNES Super Gameboy, with a border around the outside. But, granted, full-screen it would be a worse resolution than the spectrum!

PB, in theory, the USB port on the top of the GBA could probably have a connector to go to a telly.

Only thing is, the resolution would be absolute rubbish, and it would look terrible.

If there was some way of increasing the resolution, then it would be wicked!

The only problem is that my import GBA is now not as 'special' as it once was. But never fear, TH2 is coming today and should cheer me up no end.

Really, the amount of games and their quality mean that the GBA is almost as good as having a full blown console release. Now if someone could invent an output to the tv from it, it would be wonderful.

I never thought people would get this excited about a handheld console release, but it's all worth the hype, believe me (and thousands of others)

The Gameboy Advance is the best thing since Sir Walter Raleigh came across a strange plant in the ground and opened a chain of Spud-u-like.

Mmmm... Is this how they get to sell the GC so cheaply?

150 quid for the console... 80 quid for each controller

(which you dont HAVE to buy... Its just then you cant use most of the games features :) )
