.......SCARFACE is being made into a game. I can't wait. GTA has obviously took influence from this aswell as Miami vice. This game will hopefully follow the same lines as the film which evidently is loved by everyone that has seen it. They expect it out on Autumn 2005.

Did you know that the name Blink 182 is based on the number of swear words in scarface. Supposedly, but the dummies got it wrong!

But if those elements are introduced, it won't be Scarface: The Game anymore. It'll be a game, with Scarface written on the box.

Thats what i mean though. You say it will be utter shitewash and on the other hand say it could be good pending a few things. Say these few things are to be introduced in the game, will you then change your opinion?

I actually thought the other way, GTA ripped off Scarface, so many similarities.

A few things i noticed:

The Babylon club - The Malibu
King (best lawyer) - Rosenberg
The ending - The same ending but you survive
The 80's - same era
The clothes - suits
Gangs and drug deals - same as

Infact, try watching the movie then playing VC. See for your self.

I'm not going to judge upon the fact that its Scarface it will be good, but i shall wait till thee previews are out before making up my mind.

Read the post:
I'm saying that Scarface: the game, will be crap.

However, if the game actually has nothing to do with the film and the licence is just a way to shift the stock, have some good characters to hand, and avoid accusations of GTA ripping - it may not be so bad.

I agree on the latter part with originallity, but in converted movies from games they have tried cheap cash-ins on films that have not been favoured alot.

With this and the Godfather they are taking classics and bringing them into modern-day. These were the best films of the day and sold millions.

Why not try to make them? I would rather they tried making these than a crap movie. In the future there will no-doubt be more cheap cash-ins, but i would rather they made an attempt on these.
