I just turn mine off by the back switch but does it matter and what do you do?
People have diffrent ways, as long as it works what's the problem?

I do that too, i reckon you could break something by switching it off straightaway at the back. i always leave it on standby if i plan on playing on it later, though.
Had my PS2 from launch day and it's still going strong :)

Heh, I was joking. Probably because they can't be bothered to reach over to the back of the PS2. I think it was used for the benefit of obese americans.
