And it really makes me want No Mercy back. My brother was stupid enough to sell about a year ago for £10, and since it there still hasn't really been a wrestling game as good as it. Sure, Def Jam's good, but it's just so short and limited.

Which is why I ask this; is the new WWE Cube game any good? The reviews I've read gave it decent scores, but they did the same for the other crappy Cube wrestlers, and really want to know whether the grapple system is similar to No Mercy or more like Smackdown, and just how much worse than No Mercy it is.

Also, when's the new Def Jam coming out? Hopefully if it's out in the next few months then I'll just get that instead, as much as miss those spandex-wearing, oiled-up men bashing away at each other, I'll try to avoid them if I can.

Fight for New York does seem to have a similiar fighting system by the looks of it, it's just it's not set in a ring.

Picked up Wrestlemania 2000 the other day on Ebay for 99p, it really is excellent even though the graphics look like someone drew them with crayons.

Yeah, just saw a video of Fight for NY. A shame that they seem to have changed so much, I think with an extended storyline, more match types and weapons it could have been brilliant.

Just have to see how it ends up I suppose.

No Mercy is excellent and will probably never be betterd. Day of Reckoning is a mixture between Smackdown and No Mercy, in that you can exceute different strengths of grapples and then pull moves out of them, but it's also different somehow.

Def Jam Fight for New York (I think that's its name) isn't really a wrestling game at all, and is more of a street-fighter. Day of Reckoning should be decent, but I wouldn't buy it full price.
